New Mexico Trip
I had so much fun this past weekend in New Mexico with my family. Jer found a cheap ticket and surprised me with the opportunity to meet up with my parents. Friday night before I left we got to babysit Jensen while Britney and Jeremy went on the Moonlight Madness bike ride. Jensen loves his Uncle Jer . I snapped this picture shortly after the 3 of them fell asleep... too bad Tess woke up as the flash went off!My trip to New Mexico was filled with good food, family and horseback riding. It was so good to be on my horse again. I have missed riding. It was even better to see my grandparents and Aunt Connie. The trip was awesome and I am so thankful to my parents for all they did to make it possible. They are the best!
Dad and I at the airport... it was good to see him.
Brette came down too. We had fun window shopping in Santa Fe. The best part of Santa Fe was brunch at "Tune Ups" and Della's cookies at "Pasquels".
We were able to meet up with the Doty's in town and of course had to eat at Rudy's BBQ. They have the best meat and green chili stew!
Brette was braiding Tuff's hair to make sure he looked stylish for our ride at the Tamaya Hyatt Resort.
We rode to the Rio Grande River.
Santa Fe is full of beautiful arts and crafts. These are paper flowers in one of the shops.
We also spent time at G-ma and Pops house in Gallup. The skies are beautiful there.
G-ma's famous fried chicken dinner. I think there was a theme to our trip....FOOD!
I wanted to include some pics of G-ma and Pops house. We have such great memories there. So, this is the sun room. G-ma's plants just keep getting bigger each year... she has a green thumb for sure.
Front or back porch?? Technically its the back porch but it's the main door we all use to go into Grandma's house.
Pops playing his guitar... he built it himself.
We spent many a winter night sitting in front of their amazing fireplace.
"The Rock" When we were little all of the cousins would pack lunches and we would spend the day hiking to the rock. It was just far enough away that it was an adventure but close enough that G-ma could yell at us and tell us to come home.
The real front door of the house.
Pop's old barn and shop.
The real front door that's always open!
We loved to ring the bell when we got to G'ma's and let her know we made it.
Pop's always had roses growing somewhere in the yard.
Beautiful New Mexico rain clouds.
G-ma brings her geraniums in each year so they are HUGE!
Ranch 303... the best place to spend summer days and winter vacations. There was always something to do or explore. Thanks G-ma and Pops for making your home such an inviting place for all of us. I love you and am so glad I got to come to your house this weekend... Love ya!

Great pictures Amanda! We went to the Bell Ranch in New Mexico last summer and your pictures remind me of that trip. John's planning another trip there in a few weeks and I'm trying to hop onboard. Wish me luck.
Looks amazing... heck, can i visit ranch 303?
What amazing pictures! I'm so glad that I could visit your G-ma and Pop's house. It is so beautiful. I can only imagine the days spent there as a child. It was great to see them and to be in her kitchen. That fireplace....wow!
I'm so glad you were able to go. The colors, the landscape, the terrain....all so foreign to me. I am happy that you enjoy the beauties of this earth. It is a grand place. So good to see your mom and dad. They look great. I miss them.
Thanks for sharing. Love you.
Looks like you guys had fun! Great pic's, oh the fun times we had growing up there!!
Jer, If that cuddle time with Jensen in your lap doesn't make you want to be a dad, we don't know what will. It doesn't get much better than that. Thanks to both of you for being such a great aunt and uncle to Jensen. He sure loves you three!
