Spring Time at the Wimmer House

We are so glad that Spring has finally arrived here in Salt Lake. We re-stained our planter box and the tulips have come up. It looks so nice and is such an improvement to the mound of dirt that use to reside there. Jeremy took these pictures of our house last week . We feel so blessed to have such a nice home and truly love working on our little yard.

We spent Mother's Day out at Britney's and Jeremy Lewis' house. We had a great barbeque, cup cakes. and ice cream. It was fun to see everyone. We also celebrated Kendra, Britney, and Jensen's birthdays. What a great family we have! We missed all of our Logan family but were glad that Trent, Grandma Fern, Aunt Holly, the Dyers, and Mike were all able to be there. Here are some fun shots that I am pretty sure Taytum took. My favorite is the monkey picture... sorry Jeremy Lewis but it had to be included!Elle, baby Logan and Aunt Amanda!
Weston and the birthday boy! Jensen loves his lawn mower! You should see how fast he can run with it! Happy 2nd Birthday!
Does this picture even need a caption??
I finally finished my window covering in the kitchen! I really like it. I think it adds a little fun color to our kitchen.
Tess is finally better but we took this shot one evening. We imagine she is trying to figure out how to get to the food. We are so glad the cone is gone now and life is back to normal with a happy, healthy dog. I took her running up City Creek yesterday. It was so nice to have her along but for the first time in a long time I out ran her. I guess with all the time off she is a little out of shape. So our new ritual... Saturdays at City Creek enjoying the sun, beauty, and getting in shape! Now if we could only get Jeremy to join us!

Second Half and other Adventures...

In the last couple of weeks we have had some busy times. Tess had an ear infection that turned into a bigger problem. She actually shook her head so hard she got a blood blister on her ear. The technical term is called a hematoma. It had to be removed surgically and so for the next 3 weeks she will spend all of her time indoors and in a cone. The cone is driving us nuts already. She runs into everything with it... if our walls and furniture survive it will be a miracle. But, we love Tess and hope her ear heals properly so the cone will stay on!
Notice the shaved ear...
The notorious cone!
We spent Easter in California this year. It was absolutely beautiful! The weather was nice enough to take out Tay's pony and cart. It was our favorite part of course... Brette was a great driver although a little slow. Once Dad took the reins Bullet(the pony) went a lot faster. Tay loves taking her pony out and really who wouldn't!
Our final adventure in the past weeks was my half marathon race. I have been training and training hoping to improve my time from my first half-marathon. I loved the course. There were so many people running along side me. Jeremy did a great job of cheering me on all along the way. He has been SO supportive of me. I really appreciate that about him and hope he knows how much I love him. It was fun to run right around our home and I am so glad I worked to run this race. I came across the finish line in 1 hour and 49 minutes. It felt good and I am excited to train for another race. I haven't decided which one yet. I think I will take a little rest and then decide.
4 miles... Sugar House Park
7 miles... Didn't know Jeremy was watching!
Liberty Park and 4 miles to go...
Finished!
I love Jeremy!
Mike biked the marathon route.

Outdoor Before Pictures

Another beautiful Spring day!
Our backyard!
Fish ponds...
The new planter box... 6x12 feet It's huge!

Well Spring is here. Jeremy and Trent spent their Saturday building a beautiful planter box in our front yard. It is made out of Redwood and still needs to be stained. I am so excited to fill it with flowers and plants. So look forward to more pictures when its all finished! I really appreciated Trent coming to help Jer and loved spending the day with Haillie. We had a blast making cupcakes, coloring, and picking out fish for our backyard ponds and my classroom. Ummm sad news already though our new koi fish is missing!! We don't know if it was eaten or if its hiding but hopefully we'll find him. We're hoping to get lots done in our backyard and front yard this summer! I love working outside so it should be fun. We hope you are all doing well and that life is good. We are counting down the days until Jer's Powell Trip and the END OF SCHOOL. Only 5 more weeks and then its SUMMER for me!

Spring Break and Easter

It has taken me a while to get our pictures from Easter uploaded! It was so fun to have my Mom and Dad in town for the week! We did lots of relaxing since I was on Spring break but had some fun too! One of the favorite things we did was head up to Red Butte Gardens to look at the Daffodils. I enjoyed it so much that my parents actually got us a year membership in our Easter Basket and I am so excited to use it! We also spent time at the Church Museum of History and ate at our favorite spot on Temple Square... The Lion House. Jeremy treated us to a tour of his new office and to a Real Soccer Game. Most of all it was just great to be together! Jan joined us for Easter dinner. Her pie and deviled eggs were amazing. Of course my mom's rolls were the best as well! We had so much fun together and hated to see the week end. Hope all is well for each of you! We love you and hope we can be together soon! Thanks Mom and Dad for coming to our home!Starburst jelly beans are the BEST!

Signs of Spring!

Our favorite dog... Tess!
Sign #1: Green grass!
Sign #2: Purple Lupine

Yesterday was a beautiful day. We spent the day cleaning and getting things ready for patients at Jer's new office. Jer stayed most of the day but I got to come home and enjoy Tess and the spring weather. Spring is well on its way or at least we thought it was. Today, while we were in church we got a few inches of SNOW!! Can't believe its still coming but there are signs that it will end eventually and we will enjoy warmer weather. Here are some of the signs of Spring that Tess and I found around our house!
I had our school's Talent Show this past Thursday. Our theme was "Undercover Superstars". The kids did such a great job and my student council did amazing behind the scenes. I passed out 100 Grand Candy Bars at the end to the participants and I went through 72 bars! I couldn't believe I worked with that many kids. It was almost a 2 hour show but everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was well worth the hard work!
Jeremy opens his office to patients on Monday. He has practically lived there the past 4 days. I don't think he realized how much work would go into opening a new office. It is beautiful though and I feel it will be a great blessing to Jer's practice. It is in a great location. It sits right off the 215 at 6700 South and 900 East. We are so glad Dr. Layton decided to build this new beautiful building and we are glad to be with him and the rest of Elite Chiropractic!
On other notes... Jer and I taught combined Priesthood and Relief Society today and I have to say I have an amazing husband. After a very busy week he pulled together a great lesson. He is so personable and connected really well with the class members. I sure was proud! Finally, I applied for a summer position at Rowland Hall, a private school close by and I found out... I got the job! I am so excited! It is going to be great for the summer. I only work 3 hours a day 4 days a week! I haven't heard anything about my job for next year but at least I have the summer worked out.
So life is good and Spring is on the way! Hope you are all happy, healthy and TERRIFIC! We love you!
